Meet Presley Gilchrist

Presley has completed her practicum here with us this summer (2026) and has done a remarkable job of working with children and their parents in providing co- therapy with our seasoned clinicians as well as individual therapy with children under direct supervision.

Presley has shown the ability to provide a high level of quality care for clients through her ability to form and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with her clients.

She has demonstrated the ability to understand the therapeutic needs of her clients and provided appropriate support; whether that be a mindfulness grounding activity to regulate or movement to provide sensory feedback.

Additionally, Presley is purposeful and intentional in implementing creative play- based interventions with her clients that bring about awareness, growth and change.

We are confident in her ability to continue providing high quality counseling services to the children and families we work with and highly recommend her!

Hello, my name is Presley Gilchrist and I am eager to be an intern at Counseling Center for Restoration Transformation and Play.  I am currently in my final year at Western Michigan University, where I am studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling to earn my Limited Licensed Counselor certification.

I completed my undergrad with a major in psychology and minor in early childhood education at Grand Valley State University. I have always felt called to support and care for others and I’m passionate about working with children and families.

I currently work as a Behavior Technician providing Applied Behavior Analysis services to children with autism. My favorite part about the job is creating a connection with each client and watching them grow. I appreciate the uniqueness of each child I work with, as well as recognize the dynamic background they each come from.

Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering at animal shelters and spending quality time with my family. I look forward to learning, growing, and supporting the wonderful children and families I have the privilege of meeting.
